Cumbria Logistics was established in 2001 by Richard Charnley, with assistance from his son James. Initially, the company operated as a local ANC parcels depot, focusing on efficient logistics solutions in the Cumbria region.

In 2003, Cumbria Logistics expanded its capabilities by becoming a member of TPN (The Pallet Network), which allowed the company to enhance its service offerings and improve delivery timelines. By 2010, the business's growth and commitment to safety and reliability led to the opportunity to join the Hazchem pallet network, further diversifying its logistics operations.

Throughout the years, Cumbria Logistics built strategic partnerships with respected industry players, including Freightroute, XPO Logistics, and Clarke Transport. These collaborations contributed significantly to our operational efficiency and service breadth.

In 2013, Richard Charnley stepped back from daily operations due to health issues. Unfortunately, he passed away unexpectedly in 2014. His legacy and vision for the company were carried forward by his son, James, who took on the role of Managing Director. Under James's leadership, Cumbria Logistics continued to thrive, necessitating a move to larger and more suitable premises that facilitated further growth.

In 2023, reflecting our commitment to innovation and improved logistical solutions, Cumbria Logistics joined the Pallex network. This strategic decision aimed to enhance our service offerings and operational capabilities as we continue to adapt to the evolving logistics landscape.
